How we compared: on 4 November 2026 we read theclipship.com, including its homepage, cost estimator, Why Clipping page and llms.txt file, and we quote each one in its own words. We run Lumina Clippers, with 18B+ verified views delivered, so every Lumina line comes from our own pages and campaign dashboards.
At The Clip Ship, its creators cut from moments its team selects, and its own team cuts long-form from the USD 25K tier; at Lumina Clippers, our in-house team cuts every clip. The Clip Ship is a pay-per-view clipping agency at theclipship.com that sells short-form views for music, TV, film and sports releases, priced from a verified view target near USD 1 per 1,000 views. It calls itself "The clipping agency for music, TV, film & sports", and its footer names SCHWICITY LLC. If the model is new to you, here is what a clipping agency is. This page is for brands, labels and studios buying a campaign, not clippers looking for work.
On every row that matters to a buyer, the two agencies sell a different thing: The Clip Ship sells a view target, Lumina Clippers sells a cut and checked clip. Every Clip Ship row below comes from its own site, read on 4 November 2026.
| The Clip Ship | Lumina Clippers | |
|---|---|---|
| Who cuts | Its creators and its team, by its own pages; "Clip Lab" is listed from the Wake tier, USD 25K | Our team cuts the clips from your long-form file |
| Network | 200K+ creators (homepage) | 62,900+ vetted clippers |
| What you pay for | A verified view target, near USD 1 per 1,000 | One custom quote per campaign, all-in, billed on verified views |
| What is promised | "Your view target is a floor, not a ceiling" | Every clip checked; no view total promised |
| When a clip is checked | You approve the clips, then views are verified before payout | Every clip reviewed before it goes live |
| Platforms | TikTok, Reels and Shorts | TikTok, Reels, Shorts and X |
| Entry point | Pilots "start around" USD 10K | USD 5,000 minimum, no multi-month lock-in |
| Terms | No terms or privacy page found | Published Terms of Service, Lumina Global LLC |
The Clip Ship's team picks the moments and briefs its creators, the creators cut and post, and Clip Lab, where its own team cuts your long-form, is listed from USD 25K. Its site describes the cut in four places:
"Our fleet of 200,000+ creators cuts your moment into short-form clips built for the feed".
A step headed "We cut and brief" says "Our team pulls the moments that travel and arms creators with hooks, on screen text, and caption strategy."
"Clip Lab: we cut your long-form" is listed as a feature of the Wake tier, from USD 25K.
Its process runs "strategy, clip selection, client approval", then distribution.
The pilot tier, Ripple (up to USD 25K), lists the brief, creator distribution, hook and caption strategy, a dashboard and verification. Clip Lab first appears one tier up. So ask plainly on the call: at my budget, who makes the final cut, your team or the creators?
At Lumina Clippers, our own team makes every cut, from a brief you approve first. The Lumina Clippers homepage puts it simply: "You send the long-form file, our team cuts it into clips, and 62,900+ vetted clippers post them from their own accounts, on the platforms you pick." Our services page adds "The brief comes back to you before anything is cut, and you can ask to see clips before they publish." Our managed clipping service covers the full run.
A big network decides how far a clip travels. Who cuts it decides what it says.
The Clip Ship prices from a view target at a fixed CPM, meaning a cost per 1,000 views, near USD 1, while Lumina Clippers quotes a custom price per campaign from USD 5,000; both bill only on verified views. The Clip Ship's estimator says "views that fail verification are never billed".
At The Clip Ship, the view target comes first and the budget follows from it. The estimator says: "We don't start with your budget. We start with your goal: how many verified views do you want to generate? Your budget is set by that target." The homepage labels its pricing a "Fixed CPM model", and its llms.txt file says campaigns run "near a $1 fixed CPM", which means about USD 1 per 1,000 views.
At that rate, a 10M view target is near USD 10,000, where it says pilots start; that is our sum, not its quote. The estimate shows only after a form that asks for your work email, and "Your exact number is set after content review and locked in your proposal."
Set a view target, a rate per 1,000 views and how delivery compares with the target. It works the way The Clip Ship's estimator frames a campaign: the views first, then the budget.
Delivery lands exactly on the target, so the ending CPM equals your starting rate.
The rate is your own input; it is not a price from The Clip Ship or from Lumina Clippers.
The exact rate, the target and any rule for a shortfall belong in your written proposal, so compare them there.
The starting rate and the view floor go in your contract; ending CPM is only known afterwards, as the spend divided by the views, times 1,000. The Logic tile on The Clip Ship's homepage shows how it works: USD 20K for 125M+ views is about USD 0.16 per 1,000. That is well below the starting rate, which is good for buyers. Ask which number goes in your contract: the rate, the floor, or both.
Lumina Clippers quotes one price per campaign, with a USD 5,000 minimum, all-in, with no setup or platform fee and no multi-month lock-in. The quote covers strategy, our team's cut, distribution through 62,900+ clippers, brand-safety review and a live dashboard. Our homepage says "Only views that pass our anti-bot checks count." Here is how we define a verified view, and how our clipping agency pricing works.
At The Clip Ship, your budget decides which tier you land in, and the tier decides whether Clip Lab, its long-form cutting service, is included. Here is each tier from its estimator, read on 4 November 2026, next to what the same budget buys at Lumina Clippers.
Move the budget and the tier it lands on lights up. Each step lists what The Clip Ship's estimator says that tier adds.
At $15K your budget lands on Ripple, up to USD 25K. Clip Lab is first listed at Wake.
At Lumina Clippers, every budget from USD 5,000 gets the same scope: our team cuts, checks and reports every clip.
| Your budget | The Clip Ship tier | Lumina Clippers |
|---|---|---|
| USD 5,000 to 10,000 | Below its pilot level of "around" USD 10K | Full campaign: our team cuts, checks and reports |
| Up to USD 25K | Ripple, "The pilot.", no Clip Lab listed | Same scope, more volume |
| From USD 25K | Wake adds "Clip Lab: we cut your long-form" | Same scope, more volume |
| From USD 100K | Swell adds weekly strategy calls and a private Slack channel | Same scope, more volume |
| From USD 250K | Tsunami adds "Vertical exclusivity": no campaign for a direct competitor in your category during your launch window | Scope and terms agreed in writing |
The Clip Ship promises a view target; Lumina Clippers promises that every clip is reviewed before it goes live. Each one protects you from a different risk: views that fall short, or a clip that says the wrong thing under your name.
A written view floor is The Clip Ship's strongest point, and for a release with a fixed date and a number to hit it is a real comfort. Its estimator says "Your view target is a floor, not a ceiling", and its Why Clipping page talks about a "guaranteed view target".
It also says campaigns that finish above target "have historically delivered 2 to 10x additional views in the 90 days after spend stops." We could not find a named campaign on its site that shows that 90-day tail, so ask for one.
The Clip Ship describes how it checks views, and the method is solid. Its Why Clipping page says "Every clip in our network passes a human review before a dollar moves." Creators submit "Screen recorded analytics on every clip", "Fail the check, we never bill it", "Boosted or promoted posts are rejected outright", and campaigns can set audience rules, "like 60 percent US minimum. Miss it, no payout." Its llms.txt file adds that clips are "FTC-compliant, monitored live with takedowns on request".
Lumina Clippers promises the process, not a number. Our FAQ says it plainly: "No honest agency can guarantee virality, and we won't pretend to." Our clipping FAQ also says "Every clipper gets your brand brief, and our team reviews every clip before it goes live." Our services page adds "Disclosures, restricted claims and takedowns are handled."
The Clip Ship backs its "3B+" claim with five result tiles, three of them with spend and ending CPM, which is real, checkable proof, and we credit it. Here is each claim next to what its own site shows.
The five tiles add up to about 218M views between them, roughly 7% of the 3B+ it claims, and the Logic tile alone is more than half of that; both figures are our own arithmetic. The other 93% has no tile, spend or date on the site.
| Tile on its homepage | Views | What the tile shows |
|---|---|---|
| Logic, Paradise Records | 125M+ | USD 0.16 ending CPM, USD 20K spend, "#4 Apple TV Charts" |
| Mewgenics | 40M | "Views in 10 days" and "100+ spots · Steam charts"; no spend shown |
| SERHANT, Owning Manhattan | 25M+ | USD 0.60 ending CPM, USD 15K spend, "Netflix Top 10" |
| Super Mario Galaxy | 9M+ | USD 0.41 ending CPM, USD 3.75K spend, private campaign with 15 creators |
| Baller League | 18.72M | "2.2× contracted", +111% peak viewership; USD 8.5K spend in its llms.txt, not on the tile |
Each headline claim on The Clip Ship's homepage has some proof behind it on its own site, and some gaps a buyer should ask about.
| They claim | What their site shows |
|---|---|
| "3B+" views | Results for five campaigns; other clients, such as Universal Music Group and Capitol Records, appear as logos without figures |
| "200K+ creators" | 175,000+ in its own llms.txt file, and 200,000 with no plus on its Why Clipping page |
| "guaranteed view target" | The target is agreed with you; get the floor and any shortfall rule in writing |
All five result tiles are entertainment and sports releases. Its FAQ says clipping also works for "gambling, apps, e-commerce, DTC, and consumer brands", so if you sell one of those, ask for a result in your lane.
Our clients include brands with a legal team and a brand book, such as Snapchat, Adobe and Midjourney. OKX and Polkadot have run campaigns with us too, and two results you can check by name are below.
Each figure carries its measurement window and the date it was read.
iGaming brand: all-time results across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and X
Podcast platform: existing episodes cut into vertical clips and posted across creator accounts
They show what has run, not a forecast for your brand.
Our case studies page says "Every number on this page comes from live dashboards, not estimates", and you can open each campaign on our case studies page. We are trusted by Fortune 500 companies, rated 5.0 on Clutch, and covered in two Forbes articles: Inside the clipping farms driving fintech's marketing boom and the $30,000 bill that ended crypto's influencer era. Past results are not a promise of future ones.
The Clip Ship can launch faster at its best, and Lumina Clippers publishes its terms, so settle speed, terms and exit before you sign.
The Clip Ship's stated clock can be shorter than ours, and we say so. Its homepage FAQ says "Same day, next day, or next month", and its estimator adds "Once content is delivered, campaigns are typically live within days." Ours says "Most campaigns go live within 24 to 72 hours once we have your content, goals and brand guidelines." That window includes our team cutting and reviewing every clip. Here is how a clipping campaign runs with us.
On 4 November 2026, The Clip Ship's /terms and /privacy addresses both returned "Page Not Found", and its footer links to no legal page. The footer on its pages reads "© 2026 SCHWICITY LLC". None of this means the agency is not real. It means the terms you sign will live in your proposal, so read it closely.
Our terms of service name Lumina Global LLC, 5768 Monocacy Dr, Bethlehem, PA 18017, USA. Each engagement gets its own written agreement or order.
The Clip Ship's site does not state a contract length, a notice period or who owns the clips after the campaign. Our terms say "You retain ownership of your source content", and there is no multi-month lock-in. Ownership of the finished clips is set in each engagement's written agreement, so ask both agencies the same question. Whoever you pick, get the entity, the terms, the exit and the clip rights in writing.
Ask both agencies the same seven questions, and compare the answers in writing.
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Who makes the final cut at my budget? | It decides who controls your message |
| Can any clip go live before I approve it? | It decides your brand risk |
| What counts as a verified view? | It makes two prices comparable |
| What happens if the view target is missed? | A floor needs a shortfall rule |
| How many creators posted in the last 30 days? | Active creators drive reach, not sign-ups |
| Which platforms, and is X included? | The Clip Ship lists TikTok, Reels and Shorts |
| Which company signs, and where are the terms? | Legal will ask first |
Both are managed clipping agencies, built for different buyers: The Clip Ship for a release with a number to hit, Lumina Clippers for control over every clip under your name.
The Clip Ship fits a label, studio, sports property or microdrama app with a release date and a number to hit. Its strengths are on its own pages:
A view target it calls "a floor, not a ceiling".
From USD 0.16 to USD 0.60 on the three tiles that show spend.
On Apple TV, Netflix and Steam.
Screen recorded analytics, with audience and geography rules.
At its top tier, Tsunami: no campaign for a direct competitor in your category during your launch window.
Lumina Clippers is a Clip Ship alternative for a brand that needs control over what gets cut and posted under its name. Our team cuts the clips to a brief you approve, checks each one before it goes live, and our clippers post across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and X. You get one all-in quote, published terms and a founder on the first call. Releasing music? Our music clipping campaigns run the same way.

Send one long video. Our team writes the brief with you, cuts the clips and reviews every one before it goes live. Vetted clippers post them on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and X, and you are billed only on verified views.
