Managed clipping services

Clipping services that get the clips seen

You send one long-form video. Lumina cuts it, briefs 62,900+ real creators, and posts the clips on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and X. You pay on verified views, not on a folder of files. This is the clipping services desk for brands. Not press monitoring. Not an AI tool you run yourself.

If you typed clipping services because you need other people’s accounts to carry your video, this page is the desk. If you typed it because you want newspaper mentions tracked, leave.

The service

What a clipping service actually is

A clipping service takes content you already have and turns it into reach you do not already own. That means short vertical clips, posted on other people’s accounts, on the four feeds that actually move. Teams also type clipping company when they want the same job done by one operator, not a roster they have to police.

Lumina runs the managed version. You send the file. We write the brief, cut the clips, brief the creators, review every post, pay the network and report on a live dashboard. The commercial unit is a clipping campaign, priced on verified views, not an hourly edit fee. If you are weighing this against ads, the comparison is lower on this page. Numbers sit on pricing.

Source to clips

Your long-form file is cut into platform-native verticals. Hooks, captions and aspect ratios match the feed it will live on.

62,900+ real accounts

Clips post from vetted creator handles. Not a stack of brand pages. Not a bot farm.

Verified-view pricing

You pay a custom CPM on views that land. Typical range $1–5 CPM, scoped on the call. Suggested minimum $5,000.

Brand-safe QA

Every clip is reviewed before it goes live. Disclosures, restricted claims and takedowns are handled.

Live reporting

Views, creators, platforms and spend sit on one dashboard. No black box.

24–72h launch

First clips post inside three days of the brief. No six-week production calendar.

Fit

Who clipping services on this page are for

This URL is for a brand or operator that already records something worth cutting. It is not for someone who wants to become a clipper.

For

  • A podcast, stream, or YouTube show that already ships long-form
  • A founder or product team with demos and talks sitting unused
  • A regulated or paid-social-banned vertical that still needs reach
  • A marketing lead tired of buying views on one brand handle

Not for

  • Clippers looking for payouts. That is the apply page.
  • Teams that only want an MP4 zip and will post themselves
  • Anyone searching news clipping or press clipping

The source

What you send

One source file is enough to start. We do not sell a clip quota per format. The format only changes the brief.

PODCAST

Podcast episode

We pull the moments a stranger would watch without hearing the rest of the show.

STREAM · VOD

Livestream or VOD

Long recordings become short posts the next day, not a week later.

INTERVIEW

Interview or keynote

The line that makes the room lean forward is the clip. The rest stays in the talk.

PRODUCT · FOUNDER

Product or founder video

Demos, walkthroughs and founder recordings work when the product has to show, not just be named.

Platforms

The four feeds this desk posts to

One cut does not fit four feeds. Each platform is briefed separately, because what holds attention on TikTok dies on X. The same source file feeds all four. The brief is what changes, not the shoot.

The four feeds, what a clip looks like on each, and what each is best at
FeedWhat the clip looks likeWhat it is best at
TikTokVertical, hook inside the first second, on-screen text carrying the setupCold reach from people who have never heard of you
Instagram ReelsVertical, tighter edit, sound ledWarm reach and saves, strong for product and founder faces
YouTube ShortsVertical, a slightly longer runway before the payoffSearch and suggested pickup that keeps working after the flight
XVertical or square, the caption carries the claimReply threads, quote posts and industry pickup

Process

How the clipping services desk runs

Five steps. You stay off the roster.

  1. Brief

You send the file and the claims we can make. We send back the brief: platforms, hooks, what is off limits.

  2. Cut

Editors cut platform-native clips. Captions and aspect ratios match the feed, not a one-size export.

  3. Match

The desk matches each clip to creators who already post in that niche. You do not source them.

  4. QA and post

Every post is reviewed before it goes live. Then it publishes from the creator’s own account.

  5. Report

Verified views, creators, platforms and spend sit on one dashboard. You do not wait for a Friday PDF.

First posts go live 24 to 72 hours after the brief is locked.

Intake

What we need from you before day one

The brief moves fast when these five arrive together. A missing one is the usual reason a launch slips past 72 hours.

That is the whole intake. There is no onboarding form to fill in and no discovery sprint to sit through.

  • The source file. A link is fine. Raw is fine. We do not need a polished export.
  • The claims list. What you can say, what legal will not sign off, what is off limits entirely.
  • The destination. Where a viewer should land if the clip works and they want to buy.
  • One approver. A single person who can say yes to the brief without a committee.
  • The window. Launch date, and whether anything is under embargo.

The product

What you actually buy

The product is distribution. A zip of MP4s is not the product.

  • Brief. Platforms, claims you can make, claims you cannot.
  • Network posts. Creators publish from their own accounts.
  • QA. Nothing goes live without a review.
  • Payouts. The desk pays the network. You do not chase invoices.
  • Dashboard. Views that passed verification, by clip and by platform.

Billing

How verified views are counted and billed

A verified view is one the desk can stand behind. It comes from a real creator account, it has passed anti-bot checks, and it appears on a dashboard you can open yourself. That is the number you are billed on. Views that fail those checks are not billed, which is the whole reason the pricing works this way.

What counts

A view on a live post from a vetted creator account, after anti-bot checks have run.

What does not count

Bot traffic, view farms, and posts that came down. If a clip goes, its views stop being billed.

How the CPM works

You agree a custom CPM per 1,000 verified views on the call. Typical range is $1–5 CPM, set by platform, niche and volume.

What you can audit

Views by clip and by platform, the creator handle behind each post, and spend against the same rows.

Suggested minimum is $5,000. Most campaigns run $5,000 to $200,000+. There is no public rate card, because the CPM moves with the niche and the platform mix.

Safety

Brand safety, rights and compliance

Posting on other people’s accounts is where brand safety usually breaks. It breaks when nobody reads the clip before it goes live, and when the creator was never told what they are not allowed to say. Both of those are the desk’s job, not yours.

Every post is reviewed against the claims list you send at intake. Restricted verticals get tighter treatment, because the rules there are not advisory. iGaming carries responsible gambling language and market checks. Crypto avoids return claims. Music runs on cleared or official sounds.

  • Disclosures. Paid partnership labels go on wherever the platform or the regulator wants them.
  • Claims. A clip cannot say what your claims list rules out. Checked before publish, not after.
  • Rights. Sounds and footage are cleared before a clip ships, so a post does not vanish to a rights claim on day two.
  • Takedowns. If a post has to come down it comes down, and it stops being billed.
  • Market rules. Restricted markets are excluded at the brief stage, not after a complaint.

Against ads

Clipping services vs paid ads

Paid ads rent the feed for as long as the card is on. The moment spend stops, so does the reach. A clipping service posts from real creator accounts. Those posts can keep running after the flight. That is the job buyers mean when they compare clipping marketing to media buy.

Ads still have a place. This desk is the other channel: verified views on creator accounts, custom CPM, no lock-in. If the question is only “boost this one clip on the brand page,” ads win. If the question is “get this video onto thousands of other pages,” this page wins.

Against UGC

Clipping services vs UGC and influencer marketing

These three get quoted against each other and they are not the same product. UGC buys you assets. A creator films something, you get the file, and you run it wherever you like. That is useful, and it is not distribution. Influencer marketing buys you one account’s audience, usually per post, at a rate that reflects that account’s following.

A clipping service buys distribution across many accounts at once, priced on views instead of per post. You are not paying for a following. You are paying for verified views wherever they land. The practical difference shows up on the invoice: UGC and influencer deals are priced before anyone knows what the post did, and this desk is priced after, on a custom CPM against views that passed verification.

Failure modes

Why clipping campaigns underperform

Most campaigns that go flat go flat for one of four reasons. None of them are mysterious, and all four are avoidable at the brief.

The source has no moment

If nothing in the long-form file would stop a stranger mid-scroll, cutting it faster does not fix that. A clip cannot add tension the recording never had.

One cut pushed to four feeds

A single square export sent everywhere underperforms a brief that treats the feeds separately. Aspect ratio and hook length are not cosmetic.

The claims list arrives late

Creators cannot work around rules they were never told. Late claims mean recuts, or posts that have to come down.

Views with nowhere to go

Reach with no destination converts badly. If a viewer cannot tell what to do next in one tap, the campaign buys attention and then spends it.

The desk

Who runs this clipping services desk

Rhys McKay founded Lumina Clippers and still takes the strategy call. The desk is not a marketplace ticket that lands on a junior account manager. You talk to the person who built the network.

The network is 62,900+ vetted creators. Views delivered across the Lumina network are 18B+. Those two figures are network totals, not a promise for your first flight. What you buy is scoped on the call: platforms, niche, verified-view CPM, suggested minimum $5,000.

Questions

Clipping services FAQ

Book a strategy call

What is a clipping service?

A clipping service takes one long-form video, such as a podcast, stream, interview, product demo or keynote, cuts it into short vertical clips, and posts those clips on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and X. Lumina runs that as a managed desk across 62,900+ vetted creators, billed on verified views.

Is a clipping service the same as a clipping agency?

Buyers search both. The service is the work: cut, caption, post, report. The agency is the operator. Lumina is the agency. This page is the service.

How is this different from an AI clipping tool?

An AI tool leaves files on your drive. A clipping service has to get the clips seen. Lumina cuts and distributes across real creator accounts, so reach is not capped by your own following.

What does a clipping service cost?

Custom CPM per 1,000 verified views. Suggested minimum $5,000. Most campaigns run $5,000 to $200,000+. There is no public rate card and no clip-volume package on this page. The number is scoped on the call from platforms, niche and volume.

How fast can a clipping service go live?

First clips post 24 to 72 hours after the brief is locked. You send the source video, approve the brief, and the network posts. Reporting sits on a live dashboard.

Do you work as a clipping company for B2B and regulated brands?

Yes. The same service runs for AI and SaaS, crypto, iGaming, podcasts, music and founder brands. Restricted verticals use organic creator posts because paid social is often closed.

Is this a press clipping service?

No. A press clipping service monitors newspapers and TV mentions. This page is short-form video clipping services: clips posted on creator accounts. If you need media monitoring, this is the wrong desk.

Do I need a large audience already?

No. The reach comes from the creator accounts, not from your follower count. You need a source video worth cutting. You do not need a large brand handle.

What happens on the strategy call?

Thirty minutes with Rhys. You bring the source video or the link. We scope platforms, niche, and a verified-view CPM. No public package is sold on the call.

Do I approve the clips before they go live?

The brief comes back to you before anything is cut, and you can ask to see clips before they publish. Most brands approve the brief and let the desk run QA from there, because a per-clip approval queue is what slows a campaign to a crawl.

Do you guarantee a number of views?

No. The desk bills on views that pass verification, so you never pay for views that did not land. No honest operator guarantees a total before seeing the source file. What is agreed on the call is the CPM and the platform mix, not a promised number.

Can I reuse the clips in my own ads?

Usage is agreed in the brief before anything is cut. Creator posts stay on creator accounts by default. If you want paid usage rights or the raw cuts for your own channels, say so at intake so the brief and the creator terms cover it.
