How we compared: in November 2026 we read the tryclipup.com home page, its case reports, About, Contact, Terms and Clipper Terms, and we quote them in their own words. We run Lumina Clippers, with 18B+ verified views delivered, so every Lumina figure comes from our own pages and campaign dashboards.
The choice comes down to two things: who makes the edit, and whether a person checks it before it goes live or before it scales. ClipUp is a pay-per-view clipping agency at tryclipup.com that funds a network of clippers to cut and post short clips of your content, priced per 1,000 verified views (CPM); it is not the ClickUp work app. If the model is new to you, here is what a clipping agency is. This page is for brands buying a campaign, not clippers looking for work.
| ClipUp | Lumina Clippers | |
|---|---|---|
| Who cuts | The clippers who pick up your brief cut and post | Our team cuts every clip; 62,900+ vetted clippers post |
| When a clip is checked | "before it scales" | Before it goes live |
| How the price works | You fund a per-view rate for clippers; no price or minimum published | Custom pricing per campaign, USD 5,000 minimum, all-in |
| Case results shown | 8 cards: 6 creator or podcast campaigns, 1 app, 1 publisher | Named case studies, including Snapchat, Adobe and Midjourney |
| Stated launch clock | 1 business day after the strategy call | 24 to 72 hours once we have your content, goals and brand guidelines |
| Terms | Marked "Draft pending final review" | Published Terms of Service, Lumina Global LLC |
| Lock-in | No contract length stated; its cost guide says "Test first, commit second." | No multi-month lock-in |
Who does each step, by each agency's own pages
Seven steps of one campaign. Green means the agency's own team does that step. Hollow means a clipper does it, or the agency's pages do not say its team does.
Clippers post on both sides. ClipUp's clippers post and submit links, and a person reviews each clip before it scales; ask ClipUp whether any clip can be live before that review.
At ClipUp, the edit is made by whichever clipper picks up your brief. Its clipper page, read in November 2026, tells clippers to "Edit clips that hit the brief"; they post from their own accounts and "submit clip links to the campaign dashboard". Many clippers can cut the same footage in different ways, which is likely how ClipUp gets volume.
ClipUp says a campaign "runs through our 40,000+ vetted clippers, and it is live on a platform with over 500,000 clippers". Its site links to Content Rewards, and its Clipper Terms say "Payouts are issued weekly through the Whop platform".
At Lumina Clippers, the brief comes first and our own team makes every cut. Our services page says "The brief comes back to you before anything is cut, and you can ask to see clips before they publish." Then our team cuts the clips, and clippers post them from their own accounts on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and X.
What you send us is short: the source file, the claims list, the destination, one approver, and the window, meaning your launch date and whether anything is under embargo. Here is how our clipping service runs a campaign, step by step.
Both sides have a person check the clips; the difference is the moment. ClipUp deserves credit for the check: its home page FAQ says "Every clip is reviewed by a person against your brand-safety rules before it scales", and its About page says internal ops handle "clip review, clipper coordination, QA, and reporting".
Clippers post from their own accounts and submit the links, which suggests a clip may be live before it is checked, then reviewed before it goes wide. Our line is "Every clip is reviewed before it goes live. Disclosures, restricted claims and takedowns are handled." For a creator, a few early posts before review is a small risk; for a brand in a regulated category, one off-message post can be the whole problem. Ask ClipUp one question: can a clip be live before a person has checked it?
Both sides also ask for ad labels. ClipUp's Clipper Terms tell clippers to "Disclose paid partnerships where required by law", and Lumina Clippers handles disclosures inside every campaign.
A USD 0.29 CPM covers 1,000 views for 29 cents of spend, and it is the lowest effective CPM on ClipUp's case cards, from its MikeAdelabu campaign. Here is what sits behind it, and how it compares with one all-in quote.
ClipUp publishes no price: you set a budget and a rate per 1,000 verified views that you pay clippers. Its FAQ, read in November 2026, says "Pricing is discussed on the strategy call" and "We don't publish flat packages because they tend to misprice the work." The home page calculator gives a "Common range" of USD 0.75 to 3 for short-form.
Two things push the effective CPM below that rate. ClipUp says "Overflow is free": views past a cap cost you nothing more. It also says you only pay for views that pass its checks: "Fake views never make your invoice." The cards do not say whether "Spent" includes ClipUp's own fee, and ClipUp's own cost guide tells buyers to ask "What is the split?", so ask before you compare quotes.
Set a budget and the rate per 1,000 views you would pay clippers, the way ClipUp's calculator works. The output is the views that rate pays for before any cap or overflow.
The rate is your own input inside ClipUp's published common range; it is not a price from either agency.
Agency fees, caps and free overflow all move the real number, so ask each agency for its view estimate in writing next to the quote.
Lumina Clippers quotes one price per campaign, with a USD 5,000 minimum, all-in, with no setup or platform fee. The quote covers the cut, the review, the clippers and the reporting. Payment terms are agreed directly with our CEO on the free strategy call; see how our pricing works for what is included.
Only views that pass our anti-bot checks count: unnatural view patterns are rejected before payout, and you are billed on verified views only. Here is how we define a verified view.
The calculator's "minimum reach" is not a contract promise, and neither agency guarantees views by default. ClipUp's calculator says it shows "the minimum reach your spend guarantees", but its Terms say ClipUp does "not guarantee specific view counts" unless "explicitly stated in writing for a specific engagement", so if the calculator number matters to you, ask for it in your order. We say it plainly in our FAQ: "No honest agency can guarantee virality, and we won't pretend to."
In November 2026, ClipUp's home page said "1B+ Views generated" and "30+ Campaigns run", and showed eight case cards with views, spend, clips and effective CPM. Spend on every card is real proof, and it deserves credit.
The eight cards add up to about 292M views from USD 107,190 in spend, and Dillon Danis alone is about two thirds of the views on the page.
| Card | Views | Spent (USD) | Clips posted | Effective CPM |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dillon Danis | 189.8M | 56,800 | 11,574 | 0.30 |
| MikeAdelabu | 30.3M | 8,704 | 3,294 | 0.29 |
| Omoggle | 21.1M | 12,780 | 19,411 | 0.60 |
| Sheikh Uthman | 17.4M | 10,466 | 10,033 | 0.60 |
| CuriousMike × N3ON | 15.3M | 6,659 | 23,315 | 0.44 |
| LADbible | 11.5M | 5,000 | 8,638 | 0.43 |
| Abu Lahya | 5.2M | 5,050 | 10,908 | 0.97 |
| Full Violence | 1.5M | 1,731 | 996 | 1.19 |
| All eight (our sum) | About 292.1M | 107,190 | 88,169 | About 0.37 |
The 1B+ figure has no date range, and the other campaigns are not shown. Six cards are creators, personalities or podcasts, one is an app, and LADbible is a media publisher whose report starts on 23 October 2026.
Check any case card in four steps, and use the same four on any agency, us included.
Six of the eight cards link to a live report; Abu Lahya and Full Violence do not.
The Dillon Danis report says its stats "cover 5 of the 8 campaigns we ran for Dillon Danis", while the card includes all 8. ClipUp says this openly, which is fair.
The MikeAdelabu report shows approved clips out of all posted clips, and does not say whether views and spend count only approved clips, so ask which clips the totals are counted from.
The cards show no campaign dates, though the reports chart views over time and list campaign months. Report figures update hourly and can differ from the card totals, and neither says if spend includes ClipUp's fee.
Most of ClipUp's cards are creators, podcasts and personalities; ours include brands with a legal team and a brand book, such as Snapchat and Adobe. Snapchat, Adobe, Midjourney, OKX and Polkadot have run campaigns with us, and two results you can check by name are below.
Each figure carries its measurement window and the date it was read.
iGaming brand: all-time results across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and X
Podcast platform: existing episodes cut into vertical clips and posted across creator accounts
They show what has run, not a forecast for your brand.
Across the network that is 18B+ verified views, posted by 62,900+ vetted clippers; about Lumina Clippers covers who we are. Our case studies page says "Every number on this page comes from live dashboards, not estimates", and you can open each named campaign on our case studies. We are trusted by Fortune 500 companies, rated 5.0 on Clutch, and covered in two Forbes articles: Inside the clipping farms driving fintech's marketing boom and the $30,000 bill that ended crypto's influencer era. Past results are not a promise of future ones.
Three questions are left before anything is signed: how soon it goes live, who you sign with, and how you leave.
ClipUp says most campaigns launch within 1 business day of the strategy call, a shorter stated clock than ours, and we say so. Its FAQ says "Most campaigns launch within 1 business day of your strategy call, assuming source assets are ready." Ours says "Most campaigns go live within 24 to 72 hours once we have your content, goals and brand guidelines", a window that includes our team cutting and checking every clip. Here is how a campaign runs with us.
ClipUp's site names no legal entity: its footer reads "© 2026 ClipUp", and its Terms, Privacy and Clipper Terms pages are each marked "Draft pending final review", last updated April 2026. Its About page names two co-founders, Arian Saffar (Co-founder and CEO) and Sam Borazjani (Co-founder and COO). The Terms say scope and pricing are "agreed in a separate proposal or statement of work", so ask which legal entity signs, and for the final terms.
Our terms of service name Lumina Global LLC, 5768 Monocacy Dr, Bethlehem, PA 18017, USA, and each engagement gets its own written agreement or order.
On footage, both sides agree you keep it: ClipUp's Terms say "Source content you provide to us for use in a campaign remains your property", and ours say "You retain ownership of your source content." On exit, ClipUp's site states no contract length or notice period, though its cost guide warns buyers against long commitments: "Test first, commit second." Ours says there is no multi-month lock-in.
Whoever you pick, get the entity, the final terms, the exit and the rights in writing before the first clip posts, and ask both agencies these six questions.
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Who cuts the clips, your team or the clippers? | It decides who controls the edit |
| Can any clip go live before a person checks it? | It decides your brand risk |
| Does the spend figure include your fee? | It makes two quotes comparable |
| How many verified views does this budget buy, in writing? | Neither side guarantees views by default |
| What happens to budget that is not spent? | ClipUp's own cost guide says to ask this |
| Which company signs, and are the terms final? | Your legal team will ask first |
Both are managed clipping agencies, built for different buyers: ClipUp for a low, visible cost per view, Lumina Clippers for control over every clip under your name.
ClipUp fits a buyer who puts a low published cost per view first, and its cards lean to creators, podcasts and personalities. Its contact page says it works with "large brands, podcasts, and labels", so ask for a brand reference if you are one.
Each case card shows spend and effective CPM.
Its smallest card spent USD 1,731.
1 business day after the strategy call, if source assets are ready.
Over 500,000 clippers on the platform it uses, with free overflow past each cap.
It names when a clipping campaign is "NOT the right fit", for example "if you want pixel-perfect creative control on every single post".
Lumina Clippers is a ClipUp alternative for a brand that needs control over what gets cut and posted under its name. Our team cuts every clip to a brief you approve, checks it before it goes live, and bills on verified views. You get one all-in quote and a founder on the first call, plus music clipping campaigns and podcast clipping campaigns run the same way.
Yes: some buyers run creator volume through a per-view network and keep brand work managed. See how ClipUp compares with 16 others in our best clipping agency comparison. For how Whop and Content Rewards pay clippers per view, see our Lumina vs Whop comparison.
Send one video. Our team writes the brief with you, cuts the clips and reviews every one before it goes live. Vetted clippers post them on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and X, and you are billed only on verified views.
