Internal referenceThe BlogKit Style Guide

This page renders every block the BlogKit template supports. New articles are one JSON file β€” no code, no design decisions, and the result always looks exactly like this page.

01

Prose, callouts and quotes

A prose block is a list of paragraphs. Set lead: true on the first block after a hero to get this magazine-style opener with the drop cap.

Regular paragraphs look like this. Link to other Lumina pages liberally β€” pricing, case studies, how it works β€” internal links are an SEO requirement, and the kit styles them with the animated underline automatically.

Block: callout. One important aside per section maximum. Use it for the fact you'd put in a highlighted box in a Google Doc.
Block: quote β€” one strong claim per article, with the accent phrase in green.
02

Numbers: stats, bignum and bars

Block: stats (above) β€” 2–4 KPI tiles. Numbers count up once when scrolled into view and the tiles glow under the cursor. Block: bignum (below) β€” one hero number when a single stat carries the section.

Block: bars β€” comparison bars fill on scroll. pct is the bar width, win: true turns it green.

03

Process: steps and checklist

  1. Steps block

Numbered cards for any process. 4–6 items reads best.

  2. Auto HowTo schema

A steps block automatically emits HowTo structured data for search.

  3. Hover motion

Cards lift and glow under the cursor β€” nothing to configure.

  4. Writer's job

    Just titles + one-line descriptions. That's it.

Checklist block

Green-tick rows for requirements, criteria or what-to-demand lists.

When to use

Buyer guides ('demand these 5 things') and audits.

How does a writer add an article?
Fill the Writer's Brief (docs/WRITER-TEMPLATE.md), hand it over, and it becomes one article.json file. No code, no design decisions.
How does the FAQ block help SEO?
It automatically emits FAQPage structured data, so questions can appear directly in Google and AI answers.
Can an article skip blocks?
Yes β€” every block is optional except hero. Use only what the content needs; the design stays consistent regardless.

Block: cta β€” the big end card

Every article ends with this. Heading and sub are optional β€” sensible defaults ship with the kit.
